Attempt 2:
Well we haven’t gotten an ideal response to the initial Farm Basket announcement. Please do inquire if you’re interested but confused. CSA’s are a mutually beneficial arrangement whereby members are guaranteed the best produce throughout the season, and farmers receive income upfront, in this busy and expensive time of year, to purchase tools, seeds, and other operating expenses before markets start. NGG is the only Raleigh CSA growing food right here in the city. We need your support!
While the specifics of this Farm Basket maximize convenience and flexibility, I think I managed to write a rather confusing email and flier. So here’s another shot. There are two main options: A standard pre-packed box or a “fill-your-own” box.
Option #1: Traditional “CSA style” Farm Basket
This option allows us to hand select the freshest produce to fill a box for you each week, which will be ready for delivery or pick up at the market at NOFO. We fill the boxes with a wide variety of veggies and herbs, depending on what is in season.
Small Share: $15/week, $240 total. Will feed roughly 1-2 people
Full Share: $25/week, $400 total. Will feed roughly 3-4 people
Option #2: The Farm Basket Plan @ NOFO
April 8- July 29, 2011
Membership assures fresh, locally and sustainably grown produce at 10% off for members to pick up each Friday between 10am and 6pm
Cost: $224 for 16 week membership (Only $14/ week!)
An account will be established in the member’s name. Farm Basket members will present their selections at the register for check out. Purchases will be withdrawn from the member’s account balance at 10% off normal market prices. Members may add funds to the account at any time.
Monetary refunds will not be issued at any time and any balance remaining on the account at 6pm on July 29 will be forfeited.
Thanks for supporting local agriculture in Raleigh!
